These are the ratings of the hitch itself, stamped on the label that ships attached to every unit. Your real-world limit is the lowest-rated part in the chain — your vehicle, your receiver, this hitch, the ball, and your trailer coupler. Most 2" receivers are Class III and cap out around 8,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 800 lbs tongue weight, so on most trucks and SUVs the receiver is the limiting factor, not this hitch. Check your owner's manual and the label on your receiver before you tow.

What's the maximum weight this hitch can tow?

8,000 lbs gross trailer weight with 800 lbs tongue weight on the 2" ball, and 12,500 lbs gross trailer weight with 1,250 lbs tongue weight on the 2-5/16" ball. Those are the hitch's ratings — never exceed your vehicle's or your receiver's rating, whichever is lower.

How do I know which drop size I need?

Measure the height difference between the top of your receiver opening and the bottom of your trailer coupler with the trailer sitting level. That number tells you your drop. If you're between sizes or unsure, use our Find My Drop Size tool or reach out and we'll walk through it with you.

Will this fit my receiver?

It's built for standard 2" receivers, which covers the large majority of trucks, SUVs, and vans equipped for towing. It is not made for 1-1/4" receivers.

Is it rust-resistant?

Yes. The body is precision-machined billet aluminum, which won't rust the way a traditional steel hitch does. The hitch balls are forged chrome-plated steel for durability where the trailer actually rides.

Does it rattle?

No — an anti-rattle clamp is included in the box. It tightens against the receiver to take the play out, so you don't get the clunk every time you brake.

How long does adjustment take?

Seconds. The locking pin system lets you change height or flip between the 2" and 2-5/16" ball without tools.

What's your warranty?

A lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If a hitch fails, we replace it. Register your hitch on our warranty page so we have your purchase on file.
